Results don’t come from random workouts or luck. They come from placing the right person in the right environment, at the right time.
Group training only works when it’s intentional. That’s why group placement at M2 isn’t based on availability, age, or how much weight you can lift. It’s based on how you move, how you learn, and how you train.

Here’s how we do it:
1. Movement Quality
Before anything else, we look at how you move.
During your assessment and initial sessions, we evaluate:
Joint control and mobility
Asymmetries or movement limitations
How well you can maintain positions under load
This tells us what level of complexity and loading is appropriate right now. Someone with a strong athletic background may still need to be placed in a group that emphasizes foundational movement quality, and that’s not a step backward. It’s how we build the right kind of strength.
2. Training Experience
Experience isn’t about how long you’ve been lifting, it’s about how independently you can train.
We assess:
Comfort navigating a gym environment
Ability to follow coaching cues
Awareness of positioning and intent
Some newer lifters thrive in a highly coached environment. Some experienced lifters benefit from slowing down and rebuilding patterns. Group placement reflects what will drive the most amount of progress.
3. Coaching Responsiveness
One of the most overlooked factors in training success is how you receive coaching.
We pay attention to:
How quickly you implement feedback
Whether verbal, visual, or tactile cues work best
Your awareness of your own body in space
This helps us pair you with coaches and groups that match your learning style, so sessions have the greatest level of productivity.
4. Personality & Group Dynamics
Training consistency is easier when you enjoy the environment.
We consider:
Energy level and communication style
Preference for structure vs autonomy
Comfort training alongside others
This doesn’t mean everyone trains the same way. It means we create groups where people push each other in the right direction. Strong culture drives strong results.
5. Where You Are Right Now
Group placement is not permanent. As you get stronger, more confident, and more autonomous, your placement can evolve. Our system is designed to meet you where you are and grow with you, not lock you into a lane forever.
Progress changes needs. We adjust accordingly.
